Welcome to Bumblebees and Honeybees - Nursery classes.

Our overarching theme for this term is 'Once Upon A Fairytale'

During this half term we will be exploring the book 'Once upon a Fairytale' which will provide us with an introduction a variety of traditional tales including 'Little Red Riding Hood', 'The Ugly Duckling' and 'The Gingerbread Man'.

Each week we will be learning a rhyme of the week to develop our confidence in reciting a variety of nursery rhymes. In addition to this, the children will be learning a new maths rhyme each week - videos of each rhyme will be uploaded to Tapestry each week for the children to practise with their family!

On Tuesday mornings we have R.E. This half term our topic is 'Celebrations'. We will be learning about celebrations from around the world, including Chinese, Persian and British New Year!

Everyday the Bumblebees children participate in a 'Healthy Movers' sessions. These are held in the school hall and involve the children practising movement in a variety of fun and exciting ways. This is always a highlight of the children's day and is a great way of developing independence when taking off and putting back on our shoes and socks.

We use Tapestry to share your child's learning with you and to share class messages so please ensure that you log in regularly. Each Friday we will share a 'Home Learning' post on Tapestry for you to complete with your child. This will involve simple tasks that embed the learning we have completed during the week. The children love to see themselves on our interactive whiteboard so please add pictures for them to share!
