Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is allocated to children who are known to be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), Service Children (SC) and children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months (CIC). This will also include pupils eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years (known as the Ever 6 FSM measure)

It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, as they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils at their school.

Since September 2012, we have been required to publish online information about how we have used the Premium. This ensures that parents and others are made fully aware of the attainment of pupils covered by the Premium and the extra support that they receive.

Please refer to the following documents, to see the detailed approach to pupil premium, both at Biscovey and across Aspire, ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

  • The Aspire Pupil Premium Policy outlines the ethos aims and beliefs across the trust, including Biscovey Nursery and Infants' Academy, with regards to all pupils, including Pupil Premium.
  • The Pupil Premium Strategy details the spending and impact of each strand and it's impact for both last year and the year ahead at Biscovey Nursery and Infants' Academy.

Mrs Sanders is our Pupil Premium Lead. She is here to help with any queries regarding Pupil Premium and is available by appointment.
